Why is the Truma iNet System App being discontinued and what are the consequences?
The phased discontinuation is due to the 2G mobile networks being shut down in Europe, as the Truma iNet Box is based on these. From 01/01/2027, updates and maintenance releases for the Truma iNet System App will be discontinued, meaning that the Truma iNet System App will no longer be developed from 2027 onwards. This may lead to restrictions on use in the future, particularly following updates to your smartphone or operating system. From 2028, service and support will also no longer be available.
To ensure you can continue to conveniently control compatible Truma devices remotely, Truma recommends switching to the modern, intuitive successor system, iNet X.
Can I continue to use my Truma iNet Box?
Yes, you can continue to use your Truma iNet Box. As the iNet Box is based on the 2Gmobile network standard, which is being phased out by network operators, the scope of functions of the Truma iNet Box and app will no longer be available in the long term. Development of the iNet System App will cease from 01/012027. This may lead to restrictions on use in the future, particularly following updates to your smartphone or operating system.
To ensure you can continue to conveniently control compatible Truma devices remotely, Truma recommends switching to the modern, intuitive successor system, iNet X.
Which devices are compatible with the iNet X System?
The iNet X System is compatible with select Truma devices. The devices supported are determined by the model, year of manufacture and software version. You can find an up-to-date overview of all compatible devices in our compatibility overview. This allows you to quickly check whether your devices are technically compatible with the iNet X System. Please note: Only your specialist dealer can make a definitive assessment of compatibility and technical requirements, especially if you wish to link several devices.
What are the benefits of switching from the Truma iNet Box to the iNet X System?
Switching from the Truma iNet Box to the iNet X System gives you a modern solution for operating your devices: the iNet X Panel 2 features an intuitive user interface with a 4.3-inch colour touchscreen. Instead of sending text messages, you can control all your devices via the Truma app. Instead of cryptic error codes, the iNet X System provides clear instructions for quick, easy troubleshooting. The system also lays the technical foundation for future developments and features, ensuring you stay fully connected whilst on the go.
How do I swap my Truma iNet Box for the iNet X Connectivity Set 2?
As part of the upgrade programme, eligible users can swap their Truma iNet Box for the iNet X Connectivity Set 2. The iNet X Connectivity Set 2 contains everything you need to make the switch: the iNet X Connect far-field module and a colour control panel with a touchscreen.
Once you have registered for the loyalty reward, book an appointment with a Truma Service Partner. There, you can have your existing Truma iNet Box replaced with the iNet X Connectivity Set 2 and enjoy the benefits of the iNet X System. You can easily activate the loyalty reward from the comfort of your own home. To do this, you’ll need the iNet X Connect serial number, which can be found on the back of the device and in the app.
Where can I find the iNet X Connect serial number?
You can find the serial number for the iNet X Connect far-field module in the iNet X Appunder “Device Manager” or on the back of the far-field module. If the iNet X Connect is already fitted in your vehicle, you can carefully remove it from its holder, turn it over and read the serial number (no tools required).
How much does the remote control service cost after the free usage period?
You can initially use the remote control service free of charge. Once the free usage period has ended, there is a charge to keep using it. You can find the current prices and run times in the service information on this page.
Who can get the Truma iNet Box loyalty reward?
The loyalty reward is available to all owners of a Truma iNet Box. This is subject to the technical and organisational terms and conditions of the promotion being met. You can find all the information on the requirements in the terms and conditions.

Guidance on using the remote control service via iNet X Connect:
Please note that iNet X Connect is only intended to offer additional services for your devices connected to the iNet X System, such as (remote) control via app, the provision of updates or remote maintenance. For this purpose alone, iNet X Connect includes a permanently installed SIM card (eSIM) to enable remote control service*. We do not provide any services beyond this, particularly in the field of telecommunications. iNet X Connect is not a telecommunications service and we are not a provider of telecommunications services.
*The remote control service cannot be used in Andorra, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Ukraine, Turkey, Belarus or Russia. The service includes the provision of the digital infrastructure, remote control via the Truma Cloud, eSIM (eUICC) activation, assumption of costs for the use of the mobile network (including roaming) as well as further development and maintenance to fulfil cybersecurity requirements. To use the service, a mobile phone connection is required both on the iNet X Connect and on the end device with the iNet X App.

Organiser
The organiser of the promotion is Truma Gerätetechnik GmbH & Co. KG, Wernher-von-Braun-Straße 12, 85640 Putzbrunn, Germany.
Promotional period
Registration for the promotion is open from 1 September 2026 up to and including 30 November 2026. The date of successful registration shall be decisive.
Eligibility
Users of a Truma iNet Box with a valid serial number are eligible to take part. Each serial number can only be used once to enter the promotion.
Promotional benefit
Participants who purchase and register a Truma iNet X Connectivity Set 2 will receive a further two years’ remote control service free of charge, in addition to the two years’ remote control service already included with the product.
The additional usage period will be allocated to the iNet X Connect account registered as part of the promotion.
If the iNet X Connect device is resold, the 2+2-year remote control service package included in the loyalty benefit is automatically transferred to the new owner.
Prerequisites for participation
- Owners of a Truma iNet Box.
- Registration within the promotional period.
- Purchase and registration of a Truma iNet X Connectivity Set 2.
- Eligibility must be successfully verified by Truma.
Technical requirements
Participation in this promotion does not guarantee that existing devices or vehicle installations will be technically compatible with the iNet X System.
Convertibility depends on the specific vehicle and device configuration and must be checked before purchase using the compatibility list or in consultation with an authorised Truma Partner.
Notes on the remote control service
Use of the remote control service is subject to the current terms and conditions for the iNet X Connect.
Once the free period has expired, the remote control service can be extended for a fee. It will not be renewed automatically. The current prices are published at truma.com.
Misuse
In the event of false information, multiple registrations or other breaches of these terms and conditions, Truma reserves the right to reject registrations or to withdraw the promotional benefit granted.
Cash payments, payments in any other form, or the transfer of the promotional benefit to third parties are not permitted.
Data protection
Personal data will be processed solely for the purpose of carrying out the promotion and in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations. Further information can be found in Truma’s privacy policy.
Changes
Truma reserves the right to amend the promotion or terminate it early if there are valid reasons to do so, provided this is necessary and reasonable for the participants.
